Kinga Ujszászi Kinga moved to London to study at the Royal Academy of Music after graduating from the Franz Liszt Music Academy in Budapest. At the Academy she got interested in historical performance and picked up the baroque violin. Since then she has played with many of the leading period performance groups of England and frequently appears with The English Concert, The Academy of Ancient Music, English Baroque Soloists, the Orchestra Revolutionaire et Romantic and the Orchestra of Age of Enlightenment. She has lead numerous ensembles, including the Irish Baroque Orchestra, European Union Baroque Orchestra, Floreligium, Academia de las Luces in Madrid, Barokkbandið Brák in Reykjavik and the Intrnational Baroque Players. She is also the leader of the chamber music group Spiritato! They released two albums with Resonus Classics, Bella Dama and the first ever recording of Daniel Purcell's Judgement of Paris. Her music making is inspired by good coffee, traveling and late night conversations. She is a big fan of dragons, mountains and mountain sport. Apart from regular performances with the Norwegian ensemble Barokkanerne, his focus is primarily on solo and chamber music. Recent chamber concerts with musicians such as Kinga Ujsászi, Amandine Beyer, Johannes Pramsohler and Giuliano Carmignola have taken him to halls such as the Mozart-Saal of the Konzerthaus Wien, Beethovenhaus Bonn, Auditorium du Louvre and Alpine rocks 2700m above sea-level for the Suoni delle Dolomiti. With Repicco he performs all over Europe. They released their first CD Assassini, Assassinati last year to excellent reviews. His distinctive basso-continuo style on the theorbo has been praised in Diapason amongst other publications for its richness, sensitivity and virtuosity. His first solo-CD of baroque lute sonatas - Weiss & Hasse - came out on Audax Records this Spring.
